The Tell-Tale Ankle

Before Thanksgiving I fell down the stairs

I tumbled and twisted and yelled out some swears

John came and rescued, I rested and iced

After ten days it felt almost nice

Wednesday I got up and packed up for school

Put on new galoshes (bright green and quite cool)

Boarded a bus that was slick in the rain

Slipped, twisted, re-injured, yelled out swears again

It may not be broken, it’s only a sprain

But it has proved itself a most tiresome pain

So now here I sit until Dead Week is done

Healing and studying for finals- what fun!

Gross.
