My Freudian horror story “The Little God of the Staircase” published by The Dark in 2022 has just been announced as a finalist for the Eugie Foster Award.
I’m very proud of this story and I’m pleased to see it receive recognition of this kind. The Eugie Award “honors stories that are irreplaceable, that inspire, enlighten, and entertain. We will be looking for stories that are beautiful, thoughtful, and passionate, and change us and the field. The recipient is a story that is unique and will become essential to speculative fiction readers.”
The other nominees are great company to be in, and I’m flattered and pleased to be among them.
